Alfred "Tup" Holmes is a historical golf site with rolling hills and many elevation changes. The site of a Civil War battlefield, the course is named after the civil rights pioneer who paved the way to desegregating Atlanta’s public golf courses in the 1950s.
With two tee boxes, the par-72 is versatile to accommodate any skill level. Locker rooms, Pro Shop, chipping greens, practice bunkers, snack bar and putting greens are also featured at the club.
The course was renovated in 2006, and new Champion Bermuda greens were installed on all 18 holes. The par-3 ninth is the signature hole, a 200-yard carry to an elevated green. Located just minutes from downtown Atlanta and 10 minutes from Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport, the course is a great option for getting in a quick round when flying in or out of Atlanta.

Stone Mountain Golf Club is laid out over gently rolling and cantered fairways of premier Bermuda grass and greens of immaculate bent grass. The par 70 layout stretches 6845 yards making it not only long, but brutish at times with its narrow fairways, strategically placed bunkers and numerous stands of Georgia pines. The backside of Lakemont offers several interesting and beautiful holes, as well. Although this side is more inland, away from the lake and Stone Mountain, it is as difficult and scenic as the front. Several holes have rock outcroppings, and four of the holes have water that comes into play. LaFoy’s penchant for mounding and dramatic bunkering is also evident throughout the backside.
Stonemont, the original 18 hole layout, was designed and built in 1969 by the Father of Modern Golf Architecture, Robert Trent Jones Sr.

Playing 6,800 yards from the Championship tees, this “core” West Pines golf course features Crenshaw bent greens, four sets of tees to ensure an enjoyable experience for the golfers of all skill levels, a full practice range and putting green, and is situated less then 2 minutes off of I-20 (you can see it from the interstate). Of particular interest, is the "feel" of the West Pines golf course featuring rolling hills, and numerous wooded areas. With several adjoining fairways, the golf course has plenty of room to play and offers beautiful vistas throughout the round. Additionally, the close proximity of greens and tees minimizes time spent in walking / riding between holes, insuring rounds of 4 hours or less even on the busiest of days.
The result of widespread renovation was a brand new golf course with 18 new holes, a practice tee and putting green. The course re-opened on December 26, 2005 to rave reviews, playing over 30,000 rounds in its first full year of operation. In the fall of 2006, the new clubhouse opened in time to host the City of Douglasville's annual charity golf tournament. With the completion of this final phase of construction, West Pines Golf Club is proudly serving the residents of Douglasville and its surrounding communities.
